Veterinarians Worldwide Welcomed at

Royal Canin’s ‘Digital’ Forum in France

More than 330 vets and practice managers from 48 countries attended Royal Canin’s fourth Veterinary Business Forum at La Grande Motte in France recently. The two-day event was entitled ‘Enhancing Customer Relationships – the real and the digital.’

Eleven speakers, offering more than 12 hours of continuing education, covered topics including the role of social media in bringing new customers to clinic; how to optimise the use of digital communications; how a good customer relationship management programme can increase compliance and loyalty; and how all these new technologies can improve interpersonal communication when pet owners come into practice.

Lee Danks MRCVS, Veterinary Support Manager for Royal Canin who hosted nine delegates from the UK and Ireland, said: “The conference provided a great platform to demonstrate the benefits that come from embracing everything ‘digital’ in practice. It was great to be able to meet peers from all over the world and highlight Royal Canin’s commitment to supporting practice development.  I look forward to bringing all of these lessons back to UK shores.”

One of the vets who attended, Tom Leonard, of Leonard Brothers Vet Centre Ltd based in Whitchurch, Shropshire, commented: “The conference was really thought provoking and opened my eyes to the future of social media marketing. It has helped to ensure that my practice does not miss the huge opportunities available to promote and advertise our care and services.”

As well as the conference centre, delegates also visited Royal Canin’s main campus in the south of France where product R&D, manufacture, analysis and international marketing are carried out.  Royal Canin UK will host its own management events with a focus on web-based business development later this year.  For further details contact Lee Danks via email: lee.danks@royalcanin.com.
