We are looking for a veterinary surgeon to join our team in our RCVS accredited hospital. We have a 24-hour emergency service on site and a busy and varied caseload. The vet team all have their own areas of expertise including exotics, medicine and surgery certificate holders and a vet working towards her certificate in emergency and critical care. We are well equipped with a digital x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, ECG, Doppler blood pressure, critical care monitors, ventilators, rabbit v-gel tubes dedicated exotic and small furry wards and a well-equipped theatre suit.Most importantly we have a fantastic team who are friendly and supportive. The vets are encouraged to seek advice from each other and have regular meetings to discuss cases and share new knowledge learned on CPD. The current work pattern is 40 hours per week, with 1:7 weekends and 1:7 on call (bonus paid on OOH work). It is a busy practice but generous time off is given to allow for a good work/life balance. We offer 28 day’s holiday, 5 CPD days, £1200 CPD allowance, paid VDS fees, staff discounts, pension, wellbeing scheme and vet development programme.
