Description

An exciting opportunity to join our growing team in beautiful Derbyshire!

We are looking for a registered veterinary nurse to join our busy mixed practice. Ideally, this is a job share role between our branches in Wirksworth and Ashbourne or Uttoxeter and Ashbourne.

This is a permanent position that we are looking to fill with either a full time RVN (37.5hrs) or two part time RVN’s - hours can be discussed.

We believe we offer the best of both worlds with a small family feel practice for part of the week, and a purpose built practice, with fancy equipment for the other days of a week.

On call based at Ashbourne 1 night every 2 weeks, 1 in 8 weekends (although this is due to be less frequent soon). Remuneration for being on call, whether you are called in or not, and extra if you do! Overtime paid also.

Although no special subjects required, we do encourage our nurses with a generous CPD budget to follow their interests. We have nurses with Emergency and Critical care certificates, an equine nurse, and clinical coaches.

We also have nurses interested in lab work, wound management, and large animal work. We have even taken on work from a nearby wildlife park so everyone was interested in the ring-tailed lemur we had in recently!

We offer a competitive salary, CPD allowance, exclusive company discounts, reward schemes and career development. To apply or for more information, please contact Georgie on GCalixte-Holdsworth@independentvetcare.co.uk or call 07719 421361.
