Ceva Animal Health has announced the winners of its national ‘build a den’ fireworks season competition.

Designed to encourage veterinary practices to demonstrate to clients how to build a den to calm and reassure dogs during the firework festivities, veterinary professionals were asked to post pictures of the dens and waiting room displays on the Adaptil Facebook page.  The top veterinary practices, which each won a chocolate hamper, were:

  • Deepdale Veterinary and Aquatic Centre, Potton, Sandy, Bedfordshire
  • Donnachie and Townley Veterinary Surgeons, Rugeley, Staffordshire
  • Ewell Veterinary Centre, Epsom, Surrey
  • Lancaster Veterinary Centre‎, Lancaster, Lancashire
  • Cundall and Duffy Veterinary Surgeons, Scarborough, Yorkshire
  • Tyldesley Veterinary Centre, Tyldesley, Manchester
  • Candleby Veterinary Centre, Cotgrave, Nottinghamshire
  • Claremont Veterinary Group, Bexhill-on-Sea, Ease Sussex
  • Macqueen Veterinary Practice, Devizes, Wiltshire

Corby Veterinary Surgery, Corby, Northamptonshire was the overall winner of the competition and won a luxury chocolate hamper in recognition of its creativity and the clear and concise information that it utilised in its waiting room display.

“Year on year, we are amazed by the creativity and enthusiasm of veterinary professionals who decorate their waiting rooms with informative and eye-catching displays to inform their clients of the measures they can put in place in the run up to the firework season and help their pets with firework fears,” comments Claire Russell, Adaptil and Feliway product manager at Ceva Animal Health.
