Royal Canin hosts interactive workshop to boost client communication

Royal Canin is hosting a brand new one-day workshop to help enhance communication skills within the consultation room. Designed to provide consulting Vets and Nurses the opportunity to mold the ‘perfect client’, the interactive session will create a template approach to achieving 100 percent owner compliance and, ultimately, a healthier pet.

Taking place on Wednesday 11 June in Woking, the event will feature presentations and collaborative workshops delivered by business consultant Geoff Little MVB MRCVS, experienced health-professional trainers Stephen Wedd and Beverley Dean as well as Royal Canin’s Veterinary Support Manager, Lee Danks MRCVS.

Lee commented: “The consultation room is described as the ‘engine room’ of your practice, however, we often forget to focus our efforts on improving our consultation room skills. In order to lead clients down the right path, ensuring engagement and compliance, we need to communicate with conviction and always with our listener in mind.

“This informal, interactive day will work to enhance those all-important communication skills for consulting vets, nurses and  those in management, training or coaching roles.  It would be particularly useful for anyone looking to boost their performance in the consultation room or make a change to the way the entire staff address their clients in practice.  We’ll focus on how plain, simple, self-aware and confident communication can make a lasting impression on a client.”

The workshop costs £150 (including VAT) and places can be booked by calling 01963 353047 or emailing rich.skinner@royalcanin.com. Spaces are limited and those registering before May 14th will receive a £30 discount.
